On the third day, we met at 예술의거리 입구 Art Street Entrance in downtown Gwangju.
We walked to the Gwangju International Center (GIC) and met the Korean and international staff - Joey from USA and Farah from Malaysia - who introduced us to the center's activities.
After the GIC, we walked to the Indian/Nepalese restaurant First Nepal for lunch. For everyone except Ana, it was the first time to eat this kind of food! Yum~
After lunch, it was very hot so we took two taxis to SALT Art Gallery, across from Gwangju High School in Gyerim-dong. We met Ana's two Couchsurfers from Estonia, Eero and Maarja and together we talked with Johan Ahn, SALT's Korean-Belgian curator, about his gallery. We saw a nice slideshow of the different exhibits and performances at SALT and even saw a video of Ana's performance!
Finally, Eero and Maarja introduced themselves and their Couchsurfing experience. Students wrote their reflections on this very international day in Gwangju!
